Night markets are famous throughout Asia and definitely a must see experience for all visitors! The markets are a bustle of noise and energy, with friendly restaurant owners calling out their menus, stall holders calling out their wares, and crowds of curious onlookers, shoppers and diners mingling together in the night air enjoying the infectious energy that abounds from night markets!

Night markets are also where visitors can sample authentic local Asian food. A stroll inside any night market is sure to get your mouth watering and tempt your taste buds, as the smell of the food wafts through the air. There is also the intriguing sight of many street-side stalls with colorful wares, clothing, or interesting gadgets, attracting many fellow shoppers browsing and negotiating for the best bargains.

Our Night Market Team Building Challenge has quickly gained popularity since we first delivered the program in the Xinmending Night Market area of Taipei in 2015 to a large group of 160 excited and hungry participants!

Loosely based on our Amazing Race Team Building Series, the Hungry Chef can be customized as a challenging treasure hunt or more leisurely sightseeing and casual food tasting experience depending on your groups dynamics & goals.

One component is absolutely guaranteed, food is a universal language and your team is sure to love our Night Market Team Building Challenge!

The Night Market Team Building Challenge starts with 30 minute event welcome and event briefing plus fun ice breaking activity, teams allocations (typically 5-8 participants per team), names and group photo. Once set we distribute the teams race packs that contains maps, checkpoint questions, shopping money & everything needed for a great time!

At the night market venue, teams are typically presented with around 15-20 checkpoints over a time period of 2-3hours to complete. Using the race packs and information provided teams need to navigate to and complete the checkpoints in a sequence of their choosing with different checkpoints having different point allocations which makes team strategy and group dynamics critical. Some typical checkpoints include:

• Food challenges finding & enjoying a local night market treat using the budget provided
• Local food riddles to solve
• Surprise food sample checkpoint (yum!)
• Tattoo checkpoint (temporary tattoo of your company logo)
• Creative photo checkpoint
• Find your twin checkpoint
• Local history, temple and trivia checkpoints
• And lots of fun surprises!
