Now's a good time for event planners to look at Taiwan, which is upping its game and brims with smart venues and activities for groups, writes Jules Quartly

In this special feature on the Taiwan MICE industry, Cam McLean, Director of In Motion Asia with offices in both Taiwan & Thailand explained that Taiwan has a huge amount of incentives, travel perks & attractions to attract the top MICE players and is a genuine regional destination within the market

"Taiwan is small but overall it is very exciting and has a lot of offer. It arrived late to the MICE business (scene), but you could say it's got a boutique feel, small, fashionable and sophisticated....If you compare with Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore, they have really high profiles, but Taiwan has been catching up. Possibly it's second-tier, but the quality is not. Taiwan is on the map, and a genuinely attractive option (in a large part) because of it's food and culture (and improved accommodation options)
