INTRODUCTION
We are very pleased to introduce one of our newest and most exciting programs, the Elephant Care Team Building Activity!
Elephants form a very important part of Thai culture being a traditional symbol of royal power, and common place throughout Thai art, architecture and daily life.
In the year 1900, the number of elephants in Thailand was estimated to be around 100,000, but just over a century later, that figure had been dramatically reduced to around 3,000 – 4,000 with almost half of that number domesticated and the remainder living wild in National Parks.
Whilst elephants have been used in war, commercial logging activities and continue to be a popular tourist attraction, our Elephant Care Team Building Activity focuses on supporting elephants that are older, have deteriorating health or still too young to work via a number of Elephant Retirement Villages throughout Thailand.
During our special Elephant Care Team Building Program, participants are actively immersed into the elephants natural habitat and learn first hand about the history and daily life of these majestic and powerful animals
Working as teams participants learn to feed, wash and clean the elephants which requires a great deal of trust, teamwork, cooperation and communal respect.
Add to this a serious amount of fun and laughter as the elephant baths ofter turn into a big water flight lead by the elephants!

DETAILS
Our Elephant Care Team Building program offers a rare opportunity to feed, bath, and roll in the mud with these majestic mammals without riding. You will witness their natural habitat along with having an up close and personal experience that you will remember for a lifetime!
Our lead Elephant Care Team Building guide is the fantastic Patty, one of Northern Thailand's most popular and sought after elephant guides due to her warm personality, very funny workshops and caring attitude.
Both half and full day program options are available depending on your available time and program objectives, and we offer complete travel packages via our Destination Management Travel Services.
After a brief introduction learning about the history and basics on dealing with elephants, participants work together in teams to compete a number of the daily tasks required to look after the elephants.
Elephant Care Team Building Tasks include:
- Meet and greet the elephants
- Learn to make their herbal medicine
- Feed the elephants herbal medicine, fruits & sugar cane
- Clean and wash the elephants enclosure
- Wash, brush, and enjoy a fun mud bath with the elephants!
- Individual & group photos
During the Elephant Care program participants are given special clothes to wear plus shower facilities afterwards. Lunch is also included to make for a perfect day out with our tailor-made Elephant Care Program!
EVENT LOCATIONS
Our Elephant Care Team Building Program is available exclusively throughout Thailand where we operate one of our two program offices offering Corporate Team Building, Incentive Travel and Customized Adventure Services.
We also offer our Destination Management Services throughout Thailand covering hotel bookings, conference facilities & arrangements, airport transfers and transportation services, incentive travel and other travel needs to offer our clients a complete one-stop event package.
Our signature Elephant Care Team Building Program is based in two locations in the jungles of Northern Thailand. The first is 1hr north of Chiang Mai and the 2nd on the slopes of Thailand's highest mountain, Doi Inthanon. Both offer beautiful & secluded locations that are home to a number of elephants.
The elephant homes were established to create a haven for retired and newborn elephants and offers a sustainable habitat for these elephants to live in a safe and natural environment. We are also very proud of our strict policy on the treatment of the elephants. There is no riding or beating of any kind.
Our signature Elephant Care Team Building Program offers an enjoyable and rewarding experience working with the local mahouts & program leader Patty to care for these majestic symbols of strength and peace. The allure of the elephants is powerful and it's hard to resist the idea of being in the presence of these incredibly intelligent creatures.
