Terms & Conditions

Please read below for everything you need to know about deposits & payments, methods of payment, cancellation policy, tour conditions, insurance requirements and other important details.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Deposits & Payments

We require a 25% deposit to secure your tour booking. The remaining balance is to be paid no later than 60 days prior to the tour departure. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a tour, your payment and deposit will be refunded, or may be transferred to another tour of your choice. If the tour needs to be postponed due to inclement weather or other factors you may transfer your payment to another tour and date of your choice. There will be no refunds once the tour has commenced. All tours are charged in either Taiwan Dollars (NTD) or US Dollars (USD). Prices may change due to currency fluctuations.

Methods of Payment

International wire transfer or local bank transfer.

Cancellations

  • A cancellation 90 days or more prior to departure will result in a loss of 50% of your deposit
  • Cancellations made between 90 days and 61 days prior will result in full loss of your deposit
  • Cancellations made between 60 and 31 days will result in a 50% loss of your full tour cost
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to tour departure will result in 100% loss of your full tour cost

We strongly recommend that clients have full personal travel insurance that covers for the refund on monies paid in case either party cancels the tour for whatever reason.

Tour Conditions

  • In Motion Asia reserves the right to modify itineraries and cancel any trip as needed.
  • There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a tour early
  • In Motion Asia shall not be held responsible for any damage, expense or inconvenience caused by late arrival of public transport, change of schedule, strikes, vehicle breakdown, weather, Acts of God, or other conditions

  • In Motion Asia takes no responsibility for any visa, passport, or health vaccinations that you may need

Confirmation Package

Once your deposit has been processed, you will receive the tour itinerary, kit list, and personal information sheet on which you will have the opportunity to tell us about any health or diet restrictions, and reserve rental equipment, if you have not already done so.

Insurance

In Motion Asia insists that all clients take out comprehensive travel insurance before joining one of our tours. There are inherent risks involved in adventure activities and we will not be liable for your medical expenses or evacuation in case of an accident.

Your insurance policy must include adequate coverage for any personal accident, medical expenses, injury, death, and repatriation. Insurance should also provide coverage for cancellations and curtailment of the tour. Clients should also ensure that there are no exclusion clauses limiting protection for any dangerous or unusual activities that might be included on their tour.

Clients are solely responsible for arranging their own insurance and they should ensure that they are covered for the duration of their tour. We will ask you to sign an ‘assumption of risks & release and indemnity agreement’ prior to commencing one of our trips. This protects both of us and provides peace of mind in the unlikely case something should go wrong.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

"Thoroughly enjoyed it! The variety in terrain and scenery across Taiwan, the hot springs, the theme park and Kending...Would definitely consider another tour next year!"
