As with all our trips, we have carefully planned each itinerary to ensure you get the best trails, in the best order, in the best direction. Add to this our accommodation settings have been chosen for their unique, scenic location, and include hot springs wherever possible. Of course no trip is complete without scrumptious local food and we have included a good range of tasty local restaurants, bbq’s, and western food to enjoy throughout. It all adds up to an epic trip of maximum enjoyment and fun!

The Mighty Central Pass

A superb itinerary that takes you on a giant traverse of the mighty central pass with sheer seaside cliffs, lush rolling rift valley terrain, cloud piecing peaks, verdant meadows and huge glistening lakes! If the thought of riding through the most scenically stunning collection of terrain in Taiwan appeals, then the Mighty Central Pass is for you. Of course there is also some excellent mountain biking trails in the form of Taroko Gorge along with the spectacular high altitude single-track of the NengGao. We also include a bike orienteering day at the top of the east rift valley that takes you on a wonderful journey past a number of local aboriginal villages, lakeside trails, caves, and swimming holes. You get to bike down (and up if you like) from the highest road point in NE Asia at 3275m that is simply stunning, and we have also included the glistening Sun Moon Lake with its excellent riding and surprise activities! All in all a fantastic itinerary that takes you through one of the best areas in Taiwan on a superb collection of riding!

The Stunning Southern Traverse

For those looking for true ruggedness off the beaten track then consider the maze of riding that is the Stunning Southern Traverse! This rocking itinerary took weeks of exploring to put together and takes you on a hidden labyrinth of trails and scenery through the marvels of Southern Taiwan. We start with the magnificent Southern Slopes of Mt. Yushan that provides some solid off-road riding, absolute brilliant scenery, and plenty of local culture. Consider unique Bunun Villages, thousand-year old forests, hidden gorges and some brilliant trails that take you deep into the high mountains! After this we move down into the Southern Mango Plantations area and enjoy a selection of trails that cut through this excellent region including high altitude forest riding, some big downhill’s and plenty of single and double track. From here we progress into the sizable expanse of hilly Southern Taiwan that offers yet more diverse mountain scenery, aboriginal culture, hot springs and an epic ride through Taiwan’s rugged east coast. After high-tailing it through the lush rolling terrain of Pingdong we emerge into the beautiful beach lined Kenting National Park for a smorgasbord of the best cross-country riding in Taiwan. Superb single and double track, endless buffalo pastures, hard dirt-packed river side tracks, and some excellent coastal trails await. Of course once we’re done riding there are beaches, surf, outdoor bbq’s and stunning sunsets to enjoy! Quite simply an awesome trip not to be missed!
